JobKeeper Payment - Urgent Action Required
Application to enroll in the JobKeeper program for eligible employers can now be lodged. Action must take place within tight time-frames for an employer to receive the JobKeeper payment.
The process is complicated & penalties will be imposed for incorrect claims. The process includes but is not limited to:
- Assessing the eligibility of the business & documenting the % fall in turnover
- Identify eligible employees and have JobKeeper employee nomination notices completed & signed by each employee
- Make correct payments to eligible employees for each fortnight commencing 30 March 2020
- Enroll in JobKeeper from 20 April using online services or Tax Agent, NOW
- Apply for JobKeeper payments from 4 May 2020
- Completion of a monthly JobKeeper declaration report by 7th of each month
